At this time of year, we're typically wrapping up our summer and preparing for kids going back to school, starting new end of year projects, and planning for next year.
It's not too early to be strategic. If you've followed me long enough, you understand that strategy is very important in your success journey. You need a plan and a roadmap. Don't be discouraged though. Strategy doesn't take years to build or put in place. Strategy lays the foundation for what is necessary. When done right, it is effective and efficient with quick wins that are long lasting.
If you're lacking in your strategy, you're probably somewhere here:
Unsatisfied with your position
Wanting work life balance
Wanting to do more
Wanting more responsibility
Wanting more confidence
Wanting a better salary
Wanting a promotion
Wanting career growth opportunities
Being overlooked and overworked
I know sometimes it feels like there is nothing you can do to improve your situation but there always is. Even in times like these.
I've heard it said:
You can't read the label from inside the bottle.
You're point of view and confidence matters a great deal. Your mindset matters even more. Having mental defeat only helps to build up your fears instead of supporting your values and desires.
Make a commitment to valuing yourself.
Valuing yourself means committing action toward what you want instead of taking action to support your fears so that you can have the life you want.
Be honest with yourself, what are you doing to value yourself and live a satisfying and fulfilling life?
Here's the first step in understanding your value then taking action:
Complete this sentence:
I am valuing myself by ____(fill in the blank)_______.
If you're having a hard time answering this writing prompt, walk away for about a day. Think about what you do on a daily basis that is aligned with your values. (Hint: what are you saying Yes to? What are you saying No to?)
If you still can't come up with at least one sentence about how you value yourself, set up your Free Discovery Call with me.
It’s time to start valuing yourself, fully and take the necessary action to support it.
